Precautions for stamping parts processing
 
When processing stamped parts, special attention should be paid to the original state of the mold to ensure smooth restoration during subsequent mold installation. For the parts that are padded or displaced, the thickness of the gasket should be clearly marked on the part and recorded.
 
Mold replacement and inspection
 
When replacing the convex mold, the smoothness of the demoulding block concave mold should be tested, and the uniformity of the gap with the concave mold should be checked. Similarly, after replacing the die, it is also necessary to test the uniformity of the gap with the punch.
After grinding the convex mold, if the convex mold becomes shorter, a gasket needs to be added to achieve the required length. At this time, the effective length of the convex mold should be checked to see if it is sufficient.
When encountering a broken convex mold, it is necessary to investigate the cause and check whether the corresponding concave mold has a broken edge. If necessary, perform edge grinding.
Assembly points
 
When assembling the convex mold, it is necessary to ensure sufficient clearance between the convex mold and the fixed block or plate. When there is a pressure block, it is necessary to check whether there is any allowance for movement.
When assembling the concave mold, it should be placed horizontally and lightly tapped into place with a flat iron block and copper rod to avoid being forcefully knocked in at an angle. The bottom of the concave mold should be chamfered, and after installation, check whether the concave mold surface is flush with the mold surface.
After the assembly of the convex mold, concave mold, and mold core is completed, necessary inspections should be carried out on the belt to ensure that there are no errors or reversals in the installation of each part, and to check whether the concave mold and concave mold cushion block are installed backwards, whether the feeding hole is blocked, and whether new parts need to be replaced without stealing materials.
Locking and dismantling
 
When locking the screws of the stripping plate, it should be balanced and cross locked from the inside out to avoid tilting the stripping plate caused by locking a single screw first.
When disassembling the stripping plate, you can first use two screwdrivers to balance and pry it up, and then use both hands to balance and remove it. When encountering difficulties in disassembly, it is necessary to check whether the inside of the mold is clean, whether all locking screws have been removed, and identify the cause before taking action.
Reduce stamping indentation
 
Long term stamping can cause indentation on the material contact surface between the stripping plate and the die. To address this issue, the following methods can be used:
 
Grind the punch into a single-sided or double-sided inclined surface to reduce material deformation and rebound force, while reducing the vacuum area.
Grinding a small protrusion in the center of a circular punch, similar to a sloping surface, is particularly suitable for circular holes.
When the cutting edge is three or two sides, the punch edge that does not need to be cut can be made into a stepped shape to deform the waste material downwards, which is conducive to material dropping.
Make the cutting surface of the punch into a corrugated or rough shape, increase the air volume and reduce the vacuum volume.
